AC&M Digital Meters

The interfacing experts on Automation, Control & Measurements. We provide full range of high precision instrument for your Power & Process Integration.

The AC&M microprocessor digital panel meters are divided into two categories: one for power system application purposed, and the other is for industrial process measuring. For power system is an AC conversion to DC analog or RS-485 digital measure signal, application for Voltage, Current, Watt, Var, Watt-hour, Var-hour, Power Factor, and Frequency. For industrial process is a DC signal conversion to analog or digital signal such as DC-to-DC, temperature, load cell, speed, rotary, level etc.. These two kinds of digital meters have wide range applications and come in various types suitable to many application specifications, and independent isolating output. AC&M has designed a single input but combined with a digital display meter/transducer output and setting alarm function into one case, also provided high isolated ability for fault protection different from digital multi-meters in that they are used especially for single function, single range measurement. A wide range of equipment and analog to digital conversion in highly accurate digital measurement.

Recently, a digital meter combined with analog or digital output and two Hi-Lo setting relay is a trend of modern multi-function design concept. The traditional analog output has 4~20mA or 1~5V etc.. For more field useful purpose, RS-485 digital output is a necessary equipped. A digital meter relay consisting of a digital panel meter with a comparison function using digital switches has been developed. AC&M’s digital meters combined with unique display/switch relay and high isolated transducer together. Thereby enabling not only the reading of normal values, but also the comparison of large, medium and small values.

The meters have system output function that converts analog signals from sensors to digital signals for direct input to equipment such as computers, recorders computing unit to facilitate recording and automatic control.

AC&M can provide a number of digital panel meters to meet a wide range of applications through reliable design and reality control based on long experience with digital techniques. This is support by extensive and rigorous past production testing that is part of our quality-assurance control system using standards that are directly traceable to national standards. This quality assurance system is backed by an equally extensive and experienced after sales service.

Application
1. Purposed:
a) For display only.
b) For control of system Hi-Lo setting values.
c) For analog or digital signal output. For central control or SCADA system
application.

2. Measured signals:
a) Voltage or Current.
b) AC or DC

3. Measuring range: For industrial system, the signal should very small such as mV, mA etc., and for power system purposed should be input V or A. The measuring display and output ranges are determined as required.

4. Input range: The meter input range can be accept from minimum mV to maximum V as required. Input can be accepted various and floating signal, and the terminals are all isolated from the external case, aux. power and input/output circuit.

5. Output range: AC&M has wide output range for available, various analogs 4~20mA or 1~5V etc., and RS-485 digital output.
a) For power system application, watthour and varhour has pulse output, based on the photo couple theory.
b) For Hi-Lo alarm setting functions, provide two SPDT setting points to trip or alarm the faulty system. The relay capacity has 120V, 5A continuous load.
c) For SCADA and central control systems, analog and digital output can be available, These meters combined with the traditional connection which has one display and one transducer separately.

6. Operation environment: The meter can be used under normal room temperature from -10’C to +55’C and relative humidity between 20 to 95 %.
