Mun Hean (Malaysia) Sdn Berhad, was established in 1981 to gain a first-mover advantage in Malaysia. The Company then had manpower of less than 10, which has grown to about 100 today. The business model of Mun Hean Malaysia has been refined over the years to focus its expertise towards providing full turnkey solutions, which include engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to end-users, factories and government-linked companies.

At the core of the company, is a strong team of engineering specialists, including Professional Engineers registered with the Board of Engineers of Malaysia. This team actively conducts accredited technical seminars as well as talks being invited at exhibitions.

The Mun Hean Malaysia team comprises of 5 divisions, in 1) Industrial Electrical, 2) Power Quality Management Systems, 3) Smart Energy Management Systems, 4) Lightning Protection, Earthing and Switchgear, and the most recent addition, 5) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. The latter being a business venture through its subsidiary company, MH Technology Malaysia.
Recently, Mun Hean Malaysia has set up its branch office and incorporated Mun Hean Technology Borneo in Kuching Sarawak, to extend the business into East Malaysian government and private sectors.
